Project: Brand identity & print
The Counter are an independent local coffee company who serve from renovated Police Box kiosks around Edinburgh, and I created their brand identity and visual style.
The client wanted something clean, fresh, modern and representative of their efficient service & straightforward menu.
The resulting logo comprises of minimalist typography and an icon constructed from arrows. The arrows fit in with the notion of ‘takeaway' - efficiency and speed - whilst also giving the impression of simplicity through the uncomplicated lines. The shape also ties in nicely with the window style of some of the boxes.
I also designed a pattern to accompany the brand, which decorates the interior walls of the kiosks, as well as menus, loyalty cards and graphics for the signage.
